Previously named: isRootType() Every feature type is either a "root" type or a "child" type. A "root" type feature cannot have any parent type. A "child" type is bound to have one or more parent types (entity wise). -- WRONG: a KommunePlanTillaeg can have a parent! Tell if the feature type of this handler is a "root" type. More correct naming: allowsChildren() Returns whether this plan type allows children or not

In the database each feature row may contain a foreign-key to a parent row. As such each row can only be associated with one parent row (of perhaps varying type). For each type of parent, each row will contain on distinct foreign-key column. Only one of these columns may contain a value. Return the code for the parent-feature reference by the given Row. This default implementation returns null. Override to change behavior. Any non-root feature type handler needs to override this method.
